FAQ

IS THIS A FAMILY EVENT?

Yup! Plenty of fun for the entire family. Children ages 6 and under receive free entry to the ground floor of the Aon Grand Ballroom.

WHERE IS THE ACTUAL FESTIVAL TAKING PLACE?

At the end of Navy Pier and in the Aon Grand Ballroom. There are Uber/Lyft/Taxi drop off points at the end of the pier as well as a complimentary trolley service if you're not up for the walk!

 

ARE THERE PRIVATE ACCOMMODATIONS AVAILABLE?

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

Our festival is an indoor and outdoor fest. Should it rain, there is plenty of covered space to wait it out and grab a seat in the Aon Grand Ballroom. (You must purchase a ticket to enter the AON Grand Ballroom. Please note: ALL advance LOBSTER MEAL purchases AND VIP tickets include access to the Aon Grand Ballroom).

 

CAN I BRING IN MY OWN FOOD AND DRINKS?

No, sorry!

CAN I LEAVE THE FEST AND THEN COME BACK IN?

Yes, feel free to come and go as you please, you just can't bring in any outside food or beverages. 

 

ARE PETS ALLOWED IN THE FEST?

No, so sorry - only service animals.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Our fest is totally casual! Do you have a fun festive shirt? Did you get a lobster fest shirt from last year? Maybe some shorts with a lobster print on them? Wear them!  Do you wanna dress to impress in VIP? Go right ahead!

LOST OR CAN'T FIND YOUR TICKET ORDER?

You will need to locate your ticket to redeem any pre-orders. 

DO I HAVE TO HAVE A TICKET TO GET IN?

No! The main festival grounds located outside at the end of Navy Pier are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FREE OF CHARGE as well as the Aon Grand Ballroom. 

 

WHAT DOES A VIP TICKET INCLUDE?

Ticket includes the festival grounds to enjoy live music and many different food, drink, and craft vendors. PLUS, your choice of (1) Full Lobster (Approximately 1.25 pounds) OR Lobster Roll. All served with corn on the cob, potatoes, a dinner roll, fresh cut lemons, & melted butter. VIP ticket holders also receive (4) Drink Vouchers good for any beverages of your choice, PLUS Access to the Peroni VIP Lounge, Additional Bathrooms, Reserved Seating Areas, VIP Bocce Ball, and Exclusive Access to the VIP Complimentary Taste Test Experience from 1:00pm - 3:00pm and 5:00pm - 7:00pm daily with complimentary food samples and Peroni tastings.

Please note that our Bartenders and Navy Pier reserve the right to cut you off at any moment if they feel you've been served enough. Navy Pier/CSS is solely responsible for the serving and the sale of all alcoholic beverages. 

 

 

Food & Beverage Information

WHAT TIME WILL FOOD BE SERVED?

Day of festival Food will be available for purchase from noon to 9:30pm. Advance Meal Pick up closes at 9pm each night. You must redeem your meal token and lobster entrée before this time. There are no refunds or exchanges for missing the meal redemption cut off time.  

HOW DO I GET MY MEAL IF I BOUGHT A TICKET THAT INCLUDES A MEAL?

Make sure to print out your ticket and bring it with you! The Advance meal pickup area entrance is located on the SOUTH side of the Aon Grand Ballroom all the way at the end of the pier. Simply go here, get your ticket scanned and you will be given a token to redeem your meal whenever you're ready to chow down! Here, you will also be given a wristband that gives you exclusive access to the see all of the amazing musical acts in the Aon Grand Ballroom!  Advance Meal Pick up closes at 9pm each night. You must redeem your meal token and lobster entrée before this time. There are no refunds or exchanges for missing the meal redemption cut off time.  

 

WHAT DOES MY ADVANCED PURCHASE LOBSTER MEAL INCLUDE?

Your Lobster Meal will include your choice of a WHOLE (1.25 pound steamed red lobster) OR a Lobster Roll, all served with corn-on-the-cob, potatoes, a dinner roll, lemon wedges, and melted butter. ALSO - since we think you're neat, we're tossing in a ticket to the see the headlining acts in the Aon Grand Ballroom with every advance meal ticket purchase! Advance Meal Pick up closes at 9pm each night. You must redeem your meal token and lobster entrée before this time. There are no refunds or exchanges for missing the meal redemption cut off time.  

CAN I GET ANYTHING WITH MY MEAL TICKET BESIDES LOBSTER?

YES - if you buy an advance meal ticket or VIP ticket, you may exchange your Meal Token for ONE of the following items at the fest instead of redeeming it for a lobster meal: Small Steak, Large Mac & Cheese, or Large Lobster Mac & Cheese. 

 

IS IT ALL YOU CAN EAT?

Unfortunately, no, the normal festival is not all you can eat. With the purchase of your meal, you'll get plenty of food to fill your belly. If you are still hungry, there will be plenty of other food options available for purchase. If you want to truly have a lobster FEAST at the festival, check out THE LOBSTER HERO FEAST here. 

ARE THERE PLACES TO SIT AND ENJOY MY FOOD?

Yes - there is plenty of seating and tables scattered all around the fest. They are all first come first serve and we would like to encourage our festival goers to share tables with those looking to sit down and eat. If you're looking to guarantee seating, we suggest considering the VIP  or Lobster Hero Feast ticket options.

 

WHAT TIME WILL DRINKS BE SERVED?

Noon to 10:00pm each day.

HOW MUCH IS THE FOOD?

Because we are dealing with seafood - we have to price with the market, so we will not know what the final pricing is until a day or so before the fest. We do know that items will range from about $6 to $50+ depending on the current market on the east coast.
